After a rather tough play, Manantiales Fc's Juan Riquelme got a free kick in the 12th minute. Tobias Cuarto kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Rosendo Naldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Franco Costanzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Riquelme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Manantiales Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Naldo came free, but Rodolfo Mantzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Riquelme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Franco Costanzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Riquelme in the 28th minute of play. Juan Riquelme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franco Costanzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Juan Riquelme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Costanzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The El Golden Volvió! fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when El Golden Volvió!'s Claudio Biaggio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Claudio Biaggio managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Golden Volvió!'s supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Biaggio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Mantzio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodolfo Mantzio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Rolado, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute, Honorio Pierres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in El Golden Volvió!'s zone, Juan Riquelme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Costanzo came out of the goal and Juan Riquelme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Riquelme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franco Costanzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lino Mederi during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rodolfo Mantzio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viking Lo Russo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
