If Renatinho de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of America Futebol Clube SP booed when Gladiadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Theobald didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Luiz Paulo Albuquerque made a precise shot to the right of Cesar Romelio. Gladiadores's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gladiadores's Cesar Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Veloso in the 23rd minute of play. Cesar Romelio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renatinho de Castro went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Gladiadores's Cesar Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Veloso in the 34th minute of play. Luiz Paulo Albuquerque scored 0-3 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesar Romelio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Gladiadores's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Paulo Albuquerque came free, but Cesar Romelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Gladiadores players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. America Futebol Clube SP were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Costel Eta was the one to do the kick off. Evelio Baristo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 56 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in America Futebol Clube SP's zone, Ivan Eli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo de Amorim came out of the goal and Ivan Eli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the game, America Futebol Clube SP's Luiz Paulo Albuquerque nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cesar Romelio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Paulo Albuquerque kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cesar Romelio. That made the score 0-6 in the 68 minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Eli came free, but Gonçalo de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesar Romelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Souza in the 74th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gladiadores's zone, Renatinho de Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesar Romelio came out of the goal and Renatinho de Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Luiz Paulo Albuquerque put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Cesar Romelio. Gladiadores's Cesar Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatinho de Castro in the 91st minute of play. Luiz Paulo Albuquerque's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cesar Romelio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Gladiadores fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. America Futebol Clube SP were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
