ACF Fiorentina's Romeo Benat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save ACF Fiorentina from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ambrosio Bernat in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmílson Britto saved Trindade Atlético Club from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Mota was the one to do the kick off. Edmílson Britto made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Ambrosio Bernat sent off a good shot on target. Emanuel Hotz's late challenge caught a Trindade Atlético Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Hotz helped the player get up and apologised. Emanuel Hotz hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, ACF Fiorentina's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Mota came free, but Romeo Benat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ACF Fiorentina's Romeo Benat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Mota in the 70th minute of play. The ACF Fiorentina players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
