The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurelian Acalinei during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Aurelian Acalinei got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 8th match minute, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Nedelcea to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Octav Hortopan got control of the ball when Váldson Maranhense tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Rosado in the 11th minute of play forced -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's goalkeeper Octav Hortopan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Virgil Nedelcea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Jardel Rosado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Octav Hortopan, 1-0. Octav Hortopan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jardel Rosado went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute Wágner Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octav Hortopan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Uruguaiana's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Nedelcea came free, but Eliézer Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguaiana's zone, Virgil Nedelcea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliézer Recife came out of the goal and Virgil Nedelcea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

A collision led to -BZF- Fc Gheraseni getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Eugen Perișoară hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Grigore Purje hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute of the match Bruninho de Barros shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octav Hortopan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Filip Urseanu hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Filip Urseanu's late challenge caught a Uruguaiana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filip Urseanu helped the player get up and apologised. Uruguaiana's Bruninho Lima was substituted for Bruninho de Barros. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of -BZF- Fc Gheraseni:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Uruguaiana:s goal. A collision led to Uruguaiana getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Valdo Hoffmann hit a great ball. The supporters of -BZF- Fc Gheraseni booed when Uruguaiana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uruguaiana made a substitution. Danilo Sousa replaced Valdo Hoffmann. In the 92nd minute, Virgil Nedelcea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remo Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Octav Hortopan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
