The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Generoso Sasoin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Rathmore Lime Tree's Adil Magaud got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 17 minutes of play, Rathmore Lime Tree's Flavian Garcon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Generoso Sasoin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th minute Hervé Annette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Sasoin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Hervé Annette sped through Gloria Verdinegra AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Generoso Sasoin. If Adil Magaud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Generoso Sasoin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hervé Annette in the 28th minute of play. Honoré Villot charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honoré Villot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hervé Annette didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sofyane Valognes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Iztal in the 77th minute of the match. Generoso Sasoin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flavian Garcon's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Hervé Annette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Generoso Sasoin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Rathmore Lime Tree supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rathmore Lime Tree would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
