To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the game, Christopher Bugelli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meerkats FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stat Veritas FC the free kick. A collision led to Meerkats FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Christopher Bugelli hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Arturo Ortzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredric Hansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zach Testaferrata Viani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Martxot having to interfere. Stat Veritas FC's Julio Martxot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Stat Veritas FC from getting a goal against them. After 34 minutes of play, Meerkats FC's Daniel Seracino Inglott made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Martxot was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Stat Veritas FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Arturo Ortzi hit a great ball. Meerkats FC's Vincent Callus got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kevin Musu took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Martxot. Julio Martxot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Boni to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Daniel Seracino Inglott managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meerkats FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Seracino Inglott was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Martxot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stat Veritas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Musu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After some careless play in the Stat Veritas FC defense, Vincent Callus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Martxot. The Stat Veritas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Martxot should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute, Kevin Musu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Meerkats FC's Zach Testaferrata Viani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Martxot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Stat Veritas FC booed when Meerkats FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zach Testaferrata Viani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Meerkats FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Stat Veritas FC for a fine match.
