In the 6th minute of the match Barr Point got a corner. Meerkats FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jamal Dobson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Barr Point's Chris Bowler was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fredric Hansson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Meerkats FC booed when Barr Point was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamie Mayfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Seracino Inglott struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Jude Bonham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meerkats FC. When Jamie Mayfield came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Barr Point fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jamie Mayfield couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vincent Callus got free with Jude Bonham in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th match minute, Barr Point was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Den Newland to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Seracino Inglott in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jude Bonham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cliff Gordon charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cliff Gordon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cliff Gordon hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Jude Bonham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Seracino Inglott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jude Bonham was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Daniel Seracino Inglott capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fredric Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Bowler in the 56th minute of the match. When Daniel Seracino Inglott came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Meerkats FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Seracino Inglott couldn't finish the play.
