Marcu Loghin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Den Newland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Marcu Loghin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Tiberiu in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jude Bonham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emil Rădoi made a great header on Delphine Stars's corner, it was just that Barr Point's Jude Bonham managed to reach the ball for a save. Delphine Stars's Marcu Loghin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Den Newland in the 15th minute of play. Den Newland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Tiberiu kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. If Jamie Mayfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Barr Point's Chris Bowler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcu Loghin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Costică Vărzaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costică Vărzaru's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Jude Bonham skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Barr Point's Chris Bowler got a free kick in the 38th minute. Costică Vărzarus short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Jude Bonham to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 46 minutes in the game, Emanuel Tiberiu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jude Bonham having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Tiberiu was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Barr Point's Jamie Mayfield made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcu Loghin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcu Loghin made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Den Newland sent off a good shot on target. Jamie Mayfield's late challenge caught a Delphine Stars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jamie Mayfield helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Barr Point getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jamie Mayfield hit a great ball. Den Newland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Barr Point booed when Delphine Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Rădoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jamie Mayfield struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Marcu Loghin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barr Point. After 74 played minutes Barr Point got a freekick which was hit by Den Newland. Vasile Chira charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vasile Chira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Delphine Stars's Emanuel Tiberiu got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Barr Point's Marcu Loghin threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Den Newland, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Barr Point's goalkeeper Jude Bonham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jude Bonham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costică Vărzaru in the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Barr Point had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
