Spectators: 7561 (Terracing: 5672, Seating: 1738, VIP seats: 151) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Seracino Inglott made the kick off which started today's match. After 2 played minutes Oshyros ll got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Cesaro. In the 3rd minute, Meerkats FC's Daniel Seracino Inglott ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benjamin Lobo. Benjamin Lobo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Kevin Musu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meerkats FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Musu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Lobo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 8 minutes into the match, Oshyros ll's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Seracino Inglott came free, but Benjamin Lobo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevin Musu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Benjamin Lobo made a huge save. 16 minutes into the match, Oshyros ll's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Seracino Inglott came free, but Benjamin Lobo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Daniel Seracino Inglott reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benjamin Lobo. The goal made the score 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgardo Sugar in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fredric Hansson saved Meerkats FC from getting behind. In the 21stth minute of the game Edgardo Sugar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meerkats FC's Fredric Hansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kevin Musu in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benjamin Lobo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Benjamin Lobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Seracino Inglott, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Kevin Musu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Erasmo Gil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredric Hansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Seracino Inglott had several of the Oshyros ll's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Benjamin Lobo as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 37th minute, Nick Farrugia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Meerkats FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Anton De Battista hit a great ball. Fredric Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Sugar, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Seracino Inglott in the 45th minute of play forced Oshyros ll's goalkeeper Benjamin Lobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erasmo Gil to make the kick off. Benjamin Lobo came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Meerkats FC's Nick Farrugia. But to his dismay, Nick Farrugia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Benjamin Lobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Farrugia in the 58th minute of play. If Kevin Musu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meerkats FC's Daniel Seracino Inglott got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamin Lobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Seracino Inglott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Meerkats FC's Robert Portanier to fire away a dangerous shot which Benjamin Lobo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Benjamin Lobo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Seracino Inglott's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Oshyros ll's Edgardo Sugar got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamin Lobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Musu in the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Kevin Musu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Lobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Lobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Seracino Inglott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 minutes of play, Meerkats FC's Kevin Musu made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamin Lobo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Oshyros ll defense, Kevin Musu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Lobo. The Oshyros ll fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Lobo should have stopped the shot. After 93 played minutes Meerkats FC got a freekick which was hit by Richard Rapinett. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Seracino Inglott in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamin Lobo saved Oshyros ll from getting behind. Anton De Battista kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match.
