Spectators: 7504 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lucian Panțuru got the match started through his kick off. Borys Plucinik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horaţiu Manafu in the 3rd minute of the match. Borys Plucinik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horaţiu Manafu went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 11 played minutes Progresul Pitesti got a freekick which was hit by Horaţiu Coșeriu. Ludomir Budrewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Ciociu having to interfere. Victor Ciociu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Roberto Trevisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Victor Ciociu came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by LKS Sieraków ŚL's Zé Roberto Trevisan. But to his dismay, Zé Roberto Trevisan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Zé Roberto Trevisan managed to get in a good position for a shot. LKS Sieraków ŚL's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Roberto Trevisan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Ciociu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute Horaţiu Manafu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Plucinik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 minutes LKS Sieraków ŚL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Horaţiu Coșeriu who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Horaţiu Coșeriu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but LKS Sieraków ŚL's Borys Plucinik did a great save. A collision led to Progresul Pitesti getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Alex Bucuță hit a great ball. Iwo Mikulski's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Victor Ciociu on his right side and into the goal. 28 minutes into the game it was 1-2. The supporters of LKS Sieraków ŚL booed when Progresul Pitesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costică Lupeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Ciociu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Trevisan in the 34th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horaţiu Manafu got free with Borys Plucinik in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lucian Panțuru's late challenge caught a LKS Sieraków ŚL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucian Panțuru helped the player get up and apologised. Lucian Panțuru hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Ludomir Budrewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Ciociu having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Progresul Pitesti's goal looked a bit too open when Ludomir Budrewicz came free, but Victor Ciociu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Borys Plucinik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horaţiu Manafu, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The Progresul Pitesti players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. LKS Sieraków ŚL were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Ludomir Budrewicz made the kick off in the second half. Victor Ciociu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Roberto Trevisan went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Victor Ciociu was a little too slow when Dariusz Juszkowski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-4. The supporters of LKS Sieraków ŚL booed when Progresul Pitesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Panțuru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dariusz Juszkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the game, Iwo Mikulski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LKS Sieraków ŚL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Progresul Pitesti the free kick. The supporters of Progresul Pitesti booed when LKS Sieraków ŚL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iwo Mikulski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horaţiu Manafu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borys Plucinik having to interfere. When Costică Lupeanu fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Progresul Pitesti's protests and gave Costică Lupeanu a yellow card for diving instead. 73 minutes into the game, Zé Roberto Trevisan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victor Ciociu. Zé Roberto Trevisan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Ludomir Budrewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Ciociu was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Zé Roberto Trevisan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zé Roberto Trevisan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. After some careless play in the LKS Sieraków ŚL defense, Horaţiu Manafu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Borys Plucinik. The LKS Sieraków ŚL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Borys Plucinik should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Progresul Pitesti getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Horaţiu Coșeriu hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Roberto Trevisan in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Ciociu saved Progresul Pitesti from getting behind. Victor Ciociu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Roberto Trevisan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Progresul Pitesti's Horia Caranică got a free kick in the 94th minute. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Progresul Pitesti! LKS Sieraków ŚL's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
