The Kelmond S.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franck Assendelft should have stopped the shot. When Salomão Borges fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Ferrari's protests and gave Salomão Borges a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kelmond S.C. booed when S.C. Ferrari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salomão Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franck Assendelft took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willian Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beto Guedes scored 2-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franck Assendelft, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Riemer Kuijpers during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Riemer Kuijpers hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Víktor Marques kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Franck Assendelft. That made the score 3-0 in the 14 minute of play. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kelmond S.C.'s goalkeeper Franck Assendelft, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elano Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franck Assendelft having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Willian Paes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franck Assendelft was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Kelmond S.C.'s Bob Popken got a free kick in the 26th minute. Franck Assendelft was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Willian Paes. In the 28thth minute of the game Willian Paes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kelmond S.C.'s Franck Assendelft was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Kelmond S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Willian Paes came free, but Franck Assendelft reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aloísio Mangueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franck Assendelft. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aloísio Mangueira ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to S.C. Ferrari getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Willian Paes hit a great ball. In the 48th minute, S.C. Ferrari's Beto Guedes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Franck Assendelft. Franck Assendelft yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hub Heida to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Willian Paes sped through Kelmond S.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Franck Assendelft. In the 61stth minute of the game Willian Paes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kelmond S.C.'s Franck Assendelft was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 65th play minutes Beto Guedes shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Franck Assendelft and just under the crossbar into goal. 70 minutes into the game, Willian Paes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Franck Assendelft was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Willian Paes took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franck Assendelft. Franck Assendelft dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. The supporters of S.C. Ferrari booed when Kelmond S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harris Verhoeven didn't get a good kick on the ball. S.C. Ferrari's Rui de Lima was substituted for Elano Galvão. After a defensive mix-up in Kelmond S.C.'s zone, Willian Paes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franck Assendelft came out of the goal and Willian Paes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duda das Neves struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Franck Assendelft didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Ferrari. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Willian Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C. Ferrari's supporters rose to their feet, but Willian Paes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franck Assendelft breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rui de Lima took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franck Assendelft. Franck Assendelft dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Paes in the 90th minute of play forced Kelmond S.C.'s goalkeeper Franck Assendelft to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Rui de Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franck Assendelft saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franck Assendelft made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willian Paes in the 98th minute of play. There was no doubt that S.C. Ferrari were the better team. S.C. Ferrari's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
