Franck Assendelft was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 7 minutes, Mathijs Dalman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kelmond S.C. and the S.C. Ferrari players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kelmond S.C.'s Mathijs Dalman got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 13th minute, Willian Paes made a precise shot to the right of Franck Assendelft. Kelmond S.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 16 minutes, Beto Guedes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.C. Ferrari and the Kelmond S.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes S.C. Ferrari got a freekick which was hit by Beto Guedes. 18 minutes into the match, Beto Guedes notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Kelmond S.C.'s Franck Assendelft. Franck Assendelft was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Franck Assendelft made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beto Guedes in the 33rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Willian Paes sped through Kelmond S.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Franck Assendelft. Franck Assendelft came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Ferrari's Willian Paes. But to his dismay, Willian Paes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Franck Assendelft came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Ferrari's Adilson Quintal. But to his dismay, Adilson Quintal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Franck Assendelft stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Willian Paes's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. If Beto Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 47 minutes in the game, Willian Paes dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hub Heida to make the kick off. Beto Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Franck Assendelft tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Beto Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franck Assendelft saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kelmond S.C.'s Franck Assendelft played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willian Paes in the 74th minute of play. S.C. Ferrari's Willian Paes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 76th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. S.C. Ferrari made a substitution. Váldson do Vale replaced Kléberson Sabóia. Franck Assendelft stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beto Guedes's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Youri de Zaaijer hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Kelmond S.C.'s Franck Assendelft got control of the ball when Beto Guedes tried to sneak it across the goal line. S.C. Ferrari's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
