After a defensive mix-up in Quebra Ossos FC's zone, Jarbas Pombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Breckenfeld came out of the goal and Jarbas Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Reko-Recko 03™'s goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Saldanha came free, but Carlos Eduardo Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elói Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ed Mundo fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reko-Recko 03™'s protests and gave Ed Mundo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Ed Mundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Téo Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Reko-Recko 03™ defense, Gugu Saldanha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Eduardo Donatello. The Reko-Recko 03™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Eduardo Donatello should have stopped the shot. After 37 minutes, Jarbas Pombal made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Quebra Ossos FC's Richard Breckenfeld tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th match minute, Quebra Ossos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Galvão to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Gal Van from long distance, 48 minutes into the match, got Richard Breckenfeld's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jarbas Pombal to strike the kick off in the second half. Walmyr Proença hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Aírton Queirós received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carlos Eduardo Donatello came out and tried to block the shot, but Aírton Queirós slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 63rd minute. If Tostão Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Luís Gustavo de Lima fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quebra Ossos FC's protests and gave Luís Gustavo de Lima a yellow card for diving instead. When Ed Mundo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. Luisinho Cardoso made in the 82nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sílvio Corrêa immediately put the ball in play. Richard Breckenfeld didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vavá Recko went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Reko-Recko 03™'s Carlos Eduardo Donatello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Reko-Recko 03™ from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vavá Recko in the 94th minute of play forced Quebra Ossos FC's goalkeeper Richard Breckenfeld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Eduardo Donatello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sílvio Corrêa in the 95th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Queirós in the 97th minute of play forced Reko-Recko 03™'s goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quebra Ossos FC's Gugu Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Quebra Ossos FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
