Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Torcato Paião who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Gaspar Firme when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Clemente Faron kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Gaspar Firme was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Hermano Amaro. Atlético Micaelense's Torcato Paião was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Gaspar Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermano Amaro in the 23rd minute of play. Alcides Lobo struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Gaspar Firme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Micaelense. After having played for 28 minutes, Torcato Paião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Micaelense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torcato Paião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Torcato Paião's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaspar Firme was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Alexandre Paixão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Muc in the 34th minute of play. Hermano Amaro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gaspar Firme came out and tried to block the shot, but Hermano Amaro slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 39th minute. In the 41stth minute of the game Hermano Amaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amapola's Gaspar Firme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Torcato Paião to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alcides Lobo in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaspar Firme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 52 minutes into the game, Torcato Paião cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Gaspar Firme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 59 minutes into the match, Amapola's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Eanes came free, but Gaspar Firme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amapola's Gaspar Firme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torcato Paião in the 61st minute of play. In the 68th minute, Hermano Amaro made a precise shot to the right of Gaspar Firme. Amapola's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. A collision led to Amapola getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Clemente Faron hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute Hermano Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Firme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Firme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torcato Paião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th match minute, Atlético Micaelense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Eanes to maneuver through the defense. Gaspar Firme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermano Amaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 79th minute Hermano Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Firme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Paixão made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Matias Fidencio sent off a good shot on target. Torcato Paião hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The supporters of Atlético Micaelense booed when Amapola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Gaueko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaspar Firme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torcato Paião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
