Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Prado to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, S.C.PAULISTA's goalkeeper Flávio Fantini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldo Brun. Thanks to some nice moves Rosendo Birila could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Flávio Fantini however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Abasto fútbol club's Braulio Ralondo got a free kick in the 78th minute. Fernando Prado hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Rosendo Birila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flávio Fantini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play.
