An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Birila in the 44th minute of play forced Amapola's goalkeeper Gaspar Firme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Brun to make the kick off. Osvaldo Brun struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Gaspar Firme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Osvaldo Brun could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Gaspar Firme however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Amapola's Gaspar Firme got control of the ball when Victorino Sol tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Amapola's zone, Rosendo Birila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Firme came out of the goal and Rosendo Birila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amapola's Gaspar Firme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosendo Birila in the 96th minute of play.
