Spectators: 7518 (Terracing: 5639, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ludomir Zacharek made the kick off which started today's match. After 5 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Hebnes. Dominik Brysz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olgierd Sokolski kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Christer Waaler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olgierd Cwojdak in the 19th minute of the match. After 22 minutes, John-Einar Bøen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åsnes and the GKS Katowice players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. John-Einar Bøen hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see GKS Katowice's Olgierd Sokolski in action when he in the 23rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Christer Waaler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezary Kasiewski in the 25th minute of play. Christer Waaler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludomir Zacharek, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 40th minute, Martin Rustad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christer Waaler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludomir Zacharek in the 44th minute of the match. With his leg Betão Pontes managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Åsnes's Jonathan Vie fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Olgierd Sokolski made in the 46th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Witomir Misiorowski immediately put the ball in play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

GKS Katowice made a substitution. Lucjan Werra replaced Ludomir Zacharek. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan Vie to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Martin Rustad. Åsnes's Christer Waaler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Åsnes from getting a goal against them. Cezary Kasiewski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christer Waaler came out and tried to block the shot, but Cezary Kasiewski slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 62nd minute. Lucjan Werra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christer Waaler having to make a save. Olgierd Sokolski kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Morten Hestad. Lucjan Werra took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christer Waaler. Christer Waaler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 82 played minutes GKS Katowice got a freekick which was hit by Tytus Karwowski. Jonathan Vie's late challenge caught a GKS Katowice's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Vie helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Vie. After having played for 90 minutes, Morten Hestad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åsnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Morten Hestad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christer Waaler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezary Kasiewski in the 96th minute of the match. The Åsnes fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GKS Katowice were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
