But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Zawaski couldn't finish the play. The Les diables noirs players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Czarni Kozłowa Góra were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustave Pierrel to make the kick off. The supporters of Czarni Kozłowa Góra booed when Les diables noirs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute Wilfried Lépinay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cyprian Rykaczewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Stefan Zawaski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cyprian Rykaczewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustave Pierrel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
