Constantino Colombres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliézer Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Samuca Tepedino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Constantino Colombres was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pégasus F. C.'s goalkeeper Dráusio Pitta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Heli Guedeja hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute Eliézer Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantino Colombres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Pégasus F. C. booed when ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Viado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Pégasus F. C.'s Samuca Tepedino tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Constantino Colombres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Tepedino in the 30th minute of play. When Vivaldo Freire fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pégasus F. C.'s protests and gave Vivaldo Freire a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Pégasus F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo Freire. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Viado in the 35th minute of play forced Pégasus F. C.'s goalkeeper Dráusio Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Ronaldo Tendiero to fire away a dangerous shot which Dráusio Pitta despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 41st minute ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► were awarded a corner. Xulio Riego went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 44th minute, Eliézer Dante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Constantino Colombres was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Xulio Riego took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dráusio Pitta. Pégasus F. C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The wind increased when Ronaldo Tendiero made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Ronaldo got free with Constantino Colombres in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuca Tepedino in the 56th minute of play forced ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goalkeeper Constantino Colombres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pégasus F. C.'s Dráusio Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Tendiero in the 61st minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goal looked a bit too open when Vitinho das Neves came free, but Constantino Colombres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Ronaldo scored 0-5 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Constantino Colombres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Fernando Corrêa hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Samuca Tepedino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Constantino Colombres when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 76 minutes into the game, Pégasus F. C.'s Vivaldo Freire nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Constantino Colombres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 78th match minute, Pégasus F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. Dráusio Pitta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Tendiero's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Constantino Colombres didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 82nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. 87 minutes into the game, Cristian Ronaldo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Constantino Colombres. Cristian Ronaldo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. The ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pégasus F. C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
