The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. C. fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Pégasus F. C.'s Samuca Tepedino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Real Academia Serengetti defense, Samuca Tepedino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vladimiro Pirro. The Real Academia Serengetti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimiro Pirro should have stopped the shot. 14 minutes into the match, Pégasus F. C.'s Eliézer Dante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladimiro Pirro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pégasus F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Eliézer Dante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimiro Pirro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miguel Borja to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo Abeijon helped the player get up and apologised. Miguel Borja scored 2-6 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dráusio Pitta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vladimiro Pirro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Tepedino in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Borja in the 94th minute of play forced Pégasus F. C.'s goalkeeper Dráusio Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Pégasus F. C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
