After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Sandro Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minotauro's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinei Brito succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. After having played for 14 minutes, Sandro Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minotauro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandro Quintal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudinei Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gil de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Laerte Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gil de Medeiros came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Minotauro's Claudinei Brito. But to his dismay, Claudinei Brito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Gil de Medeiros came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Minotauro's Claudinei Brito. But to his dismay, Claudinei Brito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 24 minutes into the match, Nautilus's goalkeeper Gil de Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinei Brito. Tarcisio Favoretto hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes of play, Minotauro's Claudinei Brito made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gil de Medeiros was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 35 played minutes Nautilus got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho de Andrade. Sandro Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gil de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinei Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Nautilus's Gil de Medeiros got control of the ball when Claudinei Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nautilus's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sandro Quintal 44 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 8-0. Gil de Medeiros was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Sandro Quintal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sandro Quintal really showed his touch with that goal: 9-0. Minotauro's Zé Paulo Mendonça was substituted for Perivaldo Dias. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 9-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudinei Brito to make the kick off. Gil de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58thth minute of the game Claudinei Brito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nautilus's Gil de Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nautilus's zone, Sandro Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil de Medeiros came out of the goal and Sandro Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Claudinei Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Nautilus's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Brito came free, but Gil de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute Claudinei Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Claudinei Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Minotauro's Claudinei Brito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil de Medeiros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0. Claudinei Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gil de Medeiros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudinei Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. After 99 minutes of play, Minotauro's Claudinei Brito made it 14-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gil de Medeiros was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the Minotauro players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
