After a defensive mix-up in Nautilus's zone, Jacinto Txanton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil de Medeiros came out of the goal and Jacinto Txanton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Benicio Ipar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Ferreira in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leo Gaskon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With splendid footwork Richard Ferreira arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 18th minute.
