Spectators: 7477 (Terracing: 5609, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Amado Leite started the match with the kick off. Almiro Benevides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Asier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandre Infante kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Martin Asier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandre Infante hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute Martin Asier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almiro Benevides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Stars Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Leite to maneuver through the defense. In the 20thth minute of the game Wilfredo Quinto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stars Academy's Almiro Benevides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leones FC's Aureliano Obeko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antero Rebocho in the 25th minute of play. Almiro Benevides didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Asier went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The supporters of Stars Academy booed when Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Asier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Almiro Benevides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Florinio, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Martin Asier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aureliano Obeko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antero Rebocho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stars Academy's Almiro Benevides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Florinio in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Quinto in the 45th minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Almiro Benevides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Leones FC were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Stars Academy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wilfredo Quinto took the corner. The corner led Leones FC's Nicolas Bizi to a score. 0-4 in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Stars Academy's Tomás Santarém got a free kick in the 56th minute. Almiro Benevides came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Leones FC's Nicolas Bizi. But to his dismay, Nicolas Bizi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 61 minutes into the match, Stars Academy's goalkeeper Almiro Benevides had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfredo Quinto. After a rather tough play, Stars Academy's Homero Brochado got a free kick in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the game, Leones FC's Wilfredo Quinto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Almiro Benevides made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. Almiro Benevides made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Jeremias Cisco sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Stars Academy booed when Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Bizi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Cisco to maneuver through the defense. Antero Rebocho might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aureliano Obeko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antero Rebocho ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilfredo Quinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Dario Gaizko hit a great ball. Wilfredo Quinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Leones FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
