In the 26th minute, Ercan Şerif ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bulek Rai was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Donny Piliang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yağızalp Akhan having to make a save. North Port UTD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daus Wijaya ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Daus Wijaya got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Yağızalp Akhan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Henry Sugendo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yağızalp Akhan was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
