When Bernardo Bakar fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Coruña FC's protests and gave Bernardo Bakar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd minute, Bernardo Bakar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute Enzo Nardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Levent Trasiev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrado Atarratze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valeri Hadzhisotirov in the 7th minute of the match. If Valeri Hadzhisotirov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valeri Hadzhisotirov in the 14th minute of play forced La Coruña FC's goalkeeper Conrado Atarratze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo Nardo kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 18thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Cup2's keeper Levent Trasiev was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 19th minute of the match La Coruña FC got a corner. Cup2's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enzo Nardo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on La Coruña FC's corner Enzo Nardo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Levent Trasiev quite easily take care of the ball. Conrado Atarratze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeri Hadzhisotirov in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, La Coruña FC's Enzo Nardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Levent Trasiev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Enzo Nardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Genko Hristoforov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conrado Atarratze. La Coruña FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Genko Hristoforov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 33 minutes into the match, La Coruña FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valeri Hadzhisotirov came free, but Conrado Atarratze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Iskren Nikolchov made a precise shot to the right of Conrado Atarratze. La Coruña FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Dimcho Belishki's late challenge caught a La Coruña FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dimcho Belishki helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cup2's Dimcho Belishki got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute, Galin Hadzhiyski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Conrado Atarratze was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 48 minutes into the match, La Coruña FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valeri Hadzhisotirov came free, but Conrado Atarratze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enzo Nardo was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, William Saliba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 52 minutes, Enzo Nardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Coruña FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enzo Nardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Galin Hadzhiyski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Conrado Atarratze came out and tried to block the shot, but Galin Hadzhiyski slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 55th minute. Martin Ødegaard kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Cup2's Genko Hristoforov got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Conrado Atarratze came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Cup2's Valeri Hadzhisotirov. But to his dismay, Valeri Hadzhisotirov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Galin Hadzhiyski sped through La Coruña FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Conrado Atarratze. Ricardo Txema hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute Genko Hristoforov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Atarratze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cup2 booed when La Coruña FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Obano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Valeri Hadzhisotirov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cup2's supporters rose to their feet, but Valeri Hadzhisotirov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Atarratze breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Cup2 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Coruña FC throughout the match.
