Gernando Paes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Sugar, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Mauricio Domeka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conrado Camargo in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute Nas Horas Vagas F.C were awarded a corner. Cristian Brasil went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Brasil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mauricio Domeka quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Sugar in the 14th minute of play forced Nas Horas Vagas F.C's goalkeeper Gernando Paes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado Camargo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Mauricio Domeka made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, José Maria de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nas Horas Vagas F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but José Maria de Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Domeka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amado Oier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, José Maria de Senna made a precise shot to the right of Mauricio Domeka. Pomona AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 33 minutes into the game, Segundo Franco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pomona AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nas Horas Vagas F.C the free kick. If José Maria de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Maria de Senna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Conrado Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Mauricio Domeka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Maria de Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauricio Domeka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Camargo in the 73rd minute of play. Mauricio Domeka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 80th minute of the match Segundo Franco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Segundo Franco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Nas Horas Vagas F.C booed when Pomona AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Abel Duarte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Mauricio Domeka was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. José Maria de Senna scored 4-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauricio Domeka, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Maria de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Mauricio Domeka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pomona AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
