Spectators: 7460 (Terracing: 5596, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 149) Frank Borges started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the game, Angelo Ireno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Paulo Leste F.C. the free kick. In the 5th minute, Angelo Ireno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Borges in the 9th minute of play forced Academia FC's goalkeeper Ignacio Orland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Umberto Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Frank Borges's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignacio Orland was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Angelo Ireno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ignacio Orland didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wágner da Mata went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Academia FC booed when São Paulo Leste F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nilton Varela was a little too slow when Angelo Ireno got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-1. Higinio Orain kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Martxot to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nereo Kemen during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st match minute, São Paulo Leste F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernani de Senna to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Nereo Kemen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Academia FC's Venancio Maxin got a free kick in the 68th minute. Erasmo Arce, 69 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ignacio Orland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Academia FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Constantino Rodriguez hit a great ball. Ignacio Orland was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frank Borges showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 76 minute of play. A collision led to São Paulo Leste F.C. getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Frank Borges hit a great ball. Higinio Orain kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Ignacio Orland came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by São Paulo Leste F.C.'s Umberto Prado. But to his dismay, Umberto Prado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. São Paulo Leste F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
