After a rather tough play, Gnesta Oilers's Birger Skoglund got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute, Bengt-Arne Lindqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gnesta Oilers's Holger Vennerlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Anelka in the 19th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kasper Vallman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game Nicolas Anelka who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gnesta Oilers's Holger Vennerlund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bengt-Arne Lindqvist made in the 55th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Albert Norberg. ---Atam Osmanlı---'s Arif Bilge Hünerli quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Torbjörn Alin, made in the 58th minute of the game. Holger Vennerlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Anelka in the 60th minute of play. Nicolas Anelka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Holger Vennerlund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, ---Atam Osmanlı---'s Cumali Kızıl sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Holger Vennerlund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kasper Vallman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Anelka in the 75th minute of play forced Gnesta Oilers's goalkeeper Holger Vennerlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, Gnesta Oilers failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
