The score was 1-0 after a penalty in the 8th minute, where Scarlet Speedster:s John Weeke tricked FC Bruges:s Tony Van Der Weghen with a difficult ball by the left post. 13 minutes into the match, FC Bruges's goalkeeper Tony Van Der Weghen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Valladares. Tony Van Der Weghen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Di Maria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Scarlet Speedster's Tony Van Der Weghen threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from John Weeke, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tony Van Der Weghen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelo Di Maria's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Scarlet Speedster's Claudinho Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herman Bormans in the 21st minute of play. After 22 minutes Scarlet Speedster's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antonio Eggers who took care of the corner kick. Matthis de Pelsmaker made a great header on FC Bruges's corner, it was just that Scarlet Speedster's Claudinho Figueiredo managed to reach the ball for a save. Matthis de Pelsmaker took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudinho Figueiredo. Tony Van Der Weghen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Di Maria, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Tony Van Der Weghen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrique Valladares in the 35th minute. 40 minutes into the match, John Weeke dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tony Van Der Weghen, 5-1. After having played for 43 minutes, Enrique Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scarlet Speedster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Valladares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Angelo Di Maria notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of FC Bruges's Tony Van Der Weghen. Tony Van Der Weghen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Richy Wiggers was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Scarlet Speedster getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jonas Moreira hit a great ball. Scarlet Speedster's Claudinho Figueiredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Scarlet Speedster from getting a goal against them. Angelo Di Maria took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony Van Der Weghen. Tony Van Der Weghen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. When Scarlet Speedster's John Weeke in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Bruges's goalie prevented a goal. Enrique Valladares took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony Van Der Weghen. Tony Van Der Weghen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. In the 70thth minute of the game John Weeke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Bruges's Tony Van Der Weghen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 73 minutes into the match, FC Bruges's goal looked a bit too open when John Weeke came free, but Tony Van Der Weghen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Van Der Weghen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Weeke in the 78th minute of play forced FC Bruges's goalkeeper Tony Van Der Weghen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scarlet Speedster's John Weeke got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Enrique Valladares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony Van Der Weghen. FC Bruges's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Valladares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-1. 88 minutes into the game, John Weeke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-1. Tony Van Der Weghen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. John Weeke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Tony Van Der Weghen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Valladares took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony Van Der Weghen. Tony Van Der Weghen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Scarlet Speedster fully deserved thier win.
