In the 11th minute, Rönnöfors FF's Frank Nyqvist seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Frank Nyqvist the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rönnöfors FF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Frank Nyqvist had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Mihai Niță walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Johan Hultin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Băieșu, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Johan Hultin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matei Onaca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Fernkvist in the 20th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Denis Ghee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaac Åman kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Matei Onaca hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Stiinta-Univ.'s Denis Ghee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Fernkvist in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Rönnöfors FF's goal looked a bit too open when Mihail Juverdeanu came free, but Johan Hultin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joakim Fernkvist in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Ghee saved Stiinta-Univ. from getting behind. If Mihail Juverdeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Mihail Juverdeanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Mihai Niță hit a great ball.

Stiinta-Univ. made a substitution. Manuel Burdujan replaced Emanuel Băieșu. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matei Onaca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Mihai Niță hit a great ball. After 53 played minutes, Rönnöfors FF's Joakim Fernkvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Denis Ghee came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rönnöfors FF reached it. Johan Hultin was a little too slow when Mihail Juverdeanu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-1. Manuel Burdujan came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Johan Hultin could save by the left post. 61 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Fernkvist came free, but Denis Ghee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Rönnöfors FF's goal looked a bit too open when Matei Onaca came free, but Johan Hultin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Rönnöfors FF's Joakim Fernkvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denis Ghee made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Mihail Juverdeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cazimir Pânzaru fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stiinta-Univ.'s protests and gave Cazimir Pânzaru a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th match minute, Stiinta-Univ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Pânzaru to maneuver through the defense. Joakim Fernkvist struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Denis Ghee didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rönnöfors FF. The audience was convinced that Matei Onaca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johan Hultin was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Johan Hultin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihail Juverdeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 84 minutes Rönnöfors FF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mihai Niță who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Stiinta-Univ.'s Mihai Niță to fire away a dangerous shot which Johan Hultin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 95th minute, Mircea Creangă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Joakim Fernkvist came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Rönnöfors FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joakim Fernkvist couldn't finish the play.
