But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionisio Peruxu couldn't finish the play. Kjell Eliasson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Fabian Gipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Ghost Hunters's Bo Kleen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Arias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 20 played minutes Italia got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Maura. After having played for 22 minutes, Bo Kleen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ghost Hunters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bo Kleen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bo Kleen came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Ghost Hunters fans jumped to their feet. A collision led to Ghost Hunters getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sven Bäckman hit a great ball. Bo Kleen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gilberto Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a defensive mix-up in Italia's zone, Gert Håkansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Arias came out of the goal and Gert Håkansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dionisio Peruxu hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute Fabian Gipuzkoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Gustafsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Bäckman in the 61st minute of play. In the 66th minute, Sven Bäckman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ghost Hunters booed when Italia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Bilintx didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Gipuzkoa in the 71st minute of play forced Ghost Hunters's goalkeeper Åke Gustafsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Arias came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Ghost Hunters's Bo Kleen. But to his dismay, Bo Kleen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Italia booed when Ghost Hunters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Glanselius didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Ghost Hunters players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
