After 2 minutes, Gualterio Idacio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cremonese and the Italia players grew even worse after the yellow card. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cremonese! When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, Italia's Fabian Gipuzkoa got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Horacio Vitin. Luciano Lesardo charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luciano Lesardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cremonese's Bartolo Gerazan got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 12thth minute of the game Fabian Gipuzkoa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cremonese's Horacio Vitin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Fabian Gipuzkoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horacio Vitin was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Cremonese's Victor Eguen got a free kick in the 16th minute. Cremonese's Horacio Vitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Gipuzkoa in the 18th minute of play. After 21 minutes of play, Italia's Fabian Gipuzkoa made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horacio Vitin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28th minute, Braulio Nalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilberto Arias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Domeka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cremonese's Horacio Vitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Txatxu in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Fabian Gipuzkoa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Vitin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 40 played minutes Cremonese got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Jon. The supporters of Italia booed when Cremonese was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Domeka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Braulio Nalo's late challenge caught a Cremonese's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Braulio Nalo helped the player get up and apologised. Braulio Nalo hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabian Gipuzkoa to make the kick off. If Braulio Nalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victor Eguen hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute Fabian Gipuzkoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Vitin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartolo Gerazan charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Gilberto Arias was a little too slow when Alfonso Domeka got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 3-1. After 78 played minutes Cremonese got a freekick which was hit by Victor Eguen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Txatxu in the 79th minute of play forced Cremonese's goalkeeper Horacio Vitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th match minute, Cremonese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Sayvion to maneuver through the defense. Italia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
