The supporters of Di Röe booed when Italia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Gipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes of play, Di Röe's Arnaldo da Fonseca made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilberto Arias was left in no man's land by his defense there! 13 minutes into the game, Di Röe's Arnaldo da Fonseca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto Arias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Gerard Tan came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Di Röe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerard Tan couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Arnaldo da Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilberto Arias was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 35th minute, Thomas Sjöström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Di Röe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Gilberto Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Engström in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes of play, Di Röe's Knut Engström made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilberto Arias was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Gerard Tan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Di Röe's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerard Tan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Arias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilberto Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Tan in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by Italia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thomas Sjöström was slow to take the kick. During this time Di Röe's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Thomas Sjöström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Italia's Gilberto Arias did a great save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.
The wind increased when Arnaldo da Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Italia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciriaco Txatxu to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Arias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo da Fonseca in the 57th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Knut Engström got free with Gilberto Arias in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilberto Arias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Knut Engström in the 59th minute. When Arnaldo da Fonseca in the 61st play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Gilberto Arias kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-7 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 63 minutes into the match, Di Röe's Gerard Tan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Arias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Arnaldo da Fonseca made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Arias. Italia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. 69 minutes into the match, Di Röe's Thomas Sjöström broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Knut Engström in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Arias saved Italia from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Italia's Gaspar Maxin got a free kick in the 71st minute. Knut Engström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gilberto Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute of the match Zhu Bin Le shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilberto Arias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo da Fonseca in the 76th minute of play forced Italia's goalkeeper Gilberto Arias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Arias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Sjöström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the game, Knut Engström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Gilberto Arias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute, Gerard Tan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilberto Arias was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. Knut Engström took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilberto Arias. Gilberto Arias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-12. Di Röe played a much better game than Italia and deserved their victory. The Italia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
