With a little luck, Catholic Church's Alfonso De Santis got control of the ball when Ivar Sjöström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Krister Lööf's late challenge caught a Gnisvärd bk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Krister Lööf helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gnisvärd bk booed when Catholic Church was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Krister Lööf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonso De Santis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roy Ahlbom showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Alfonso De Santis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roy Ahlbom in the 11th minute. Alfonso De Santis came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Gnisvärd bk's Jerry Malmgren. But to his dismay, Jerry Malmgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 16 minutes into the match, Gnisvärd bk's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Ståhlberg came free, but Daniel Nordin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Leif Törnqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gnisvärd bk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catholic Church the free kick. The supporters of Catholic Church booed when Gnisvärd bk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Törnqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stig-Åke Ståhlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Nordin having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Gnisvärd bk's Ivar Sjöström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso De Santis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stig-Åke Ståhlberg struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Daniel Nordin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catholic Church. Daniel Nordin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Ståhlberg in the 28th minute of play. Alfonso De Santis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Elg in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Catholic Church got a freekick which was hit by Sixten Stephansson. Alfonso De Santis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Elg, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Elg in the 37th minute of play forced Catholic Church's goalkeeper Alfonso De Santis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Nordin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Bennet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Jim Ennegren got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Daniel Nordin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jerry Malmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Ivar Sjöström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfonso De Santis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivar Sjöström in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerry Malmgren was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Christopher Forss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig-Åke Ståhlbergs short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Daniel Nordin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Stig-Åke Ståhlberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Nordin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tommy Bennet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfonso De Santis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivar Sjöström in the 91st minute of the match.
