The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Jiang Gang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Clube Patrício fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 10 minutes into the game, Yuri Gaspar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Oscar Saldanha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Sporting Clube Patrício's Yuri Gaspar in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Squadra Demarchi's goalie prevented a goal. A sloppy throw-in by Elano Ferraz in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sporting Clube Patrício's Sandro Cortez. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yuri Gaspar in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Saldanha saved Squadra Demarchi from getting behind. In the 21st minute, Sporting Clube Patrício's Albertino Anjos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Albertino Anjos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sporting Clube Patrício protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Albertino Anjos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Sporting Clube Patrício:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Squadra Demarchi:s goal. Almiro Setúbal had in the 23rdth minute some difficulties stopping Claudinho Loyola's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Almiro Setúbal came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Squadra Demarchi's Claudinho Loyola. But to his dismay, Claudinho Loyola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 26 minutes into the match, Squadra Demarchi's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Gaspar came free, but Oscar Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Squadra Demarchi booed when Sporting Clube Patrício was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jiang Gang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Almiro Setúbal came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Squadra Demarchi's Aírton Montenegro. But to his dismay, Aírton Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. A hard shot 31 in the game by Jiang Gang from a close distance when the talented Oscar Saldanha managed to make a qualified save. Squadra Demarchi's players were relieved. 33 minutes into the match, Jiang Gang notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha. Oscar Saldanha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oscar Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri Gaspar in the 36th minute of play. Yuri Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Saldanha having to interfere. Jiang Gang received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oscar Saldanha came out and tried to block the shot, but Jiang Gang slotted it home off the left post making it 5-2 in the 42nd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jiang Gang stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Jiang Gang made a precise shot to the right of Oscar Saldanha. Squadra Demarchi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. Yuri Gaspar scored 7-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oscar Saldanha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Squadra Demarchi's zone, Jiang Gang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Saldanha came out of the goal and Jiang Gang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Saldanha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yuri Gaspar's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Claudinho Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Oscar Saldanha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yuri Gaspar's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute Gabriel Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Jiang Gang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Saldanha. Squadra Demarchi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jiang Gang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-2. Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jiang Gang in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute Gabriel Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jiang Gang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Saldanha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Oscar Saldanha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jiang Gang's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Oscar Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Gaspar in the 79th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Sporting Clube Patrício's Yuri Gaspar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Saldanha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-2. 88 minutes into the match, Yuri Gaspar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Saldanha. Squadra Demarchi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yuri Gaspar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-2. After 90 played minutes Squadra Demarchi got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Loyola. Oscar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Sporting Clube Patrício were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Squadra Demarchi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernardo Salgado took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Squadra Demarchi's goalie and right to Gabriel Meira. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Squadra Demarchi's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Oscar Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Gaspar in the 97th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Sporting Clube Patrício were the better team. Sporting Clube Patrício's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
