The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tony Favoretto to make the kick off. Lauro Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Eron in the 57th minute of the match. Claudinho Sena hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Maximiliano Eron took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lauro Corrêa. Lauro Corrêa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The supporters of Classe A Futebol Clube booed when Polar Ice Caps was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sivert Sander didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Leonides Enaut fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polar Ice Caps's protests and gave Leonides Enaut a yellow card for diving instead. Henry Blom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Henry Blom successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Classe A Futebol Clube's Claudinho Sena suffered a fractured collar bone after 93 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 93 minutes into the game, André Botvidsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Polar Ice Caps's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Classe A Futebol Clube the free kick.
