Henry Blom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaert Vischkens in the 2nd minute of the match. Maximiliano Eron blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teo De Jonge having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Eron got free with Teo De Jonge in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Polar Ice Caps's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tord Lundin in the 19th minute. In the 19th match minute, Polar Ice Caps was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörn Lidström to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Polar Ice Caps defense, Reinaert Vischkens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henry Blom. The Polar Ice Caps fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henry Blom should have stopped the shot. Reinaert Vischkens took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henry Blom. Henry Blom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Eron in the 33rd minute of play forced KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Teo De Jonge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddy Laporte, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Polar Ice Caps's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaert Vischkens came free, but Henry Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henry Blom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Laporte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferdinand Weijnants to strike the kick off in the second half. Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eddy Laporte 52 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Ferdinand Weijnants took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Henry Blom to make any attempt to save it. Henry Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaert Vischkens, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Polar Ice Caps's Henry Blom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Polar Ice Caps from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Eron in the 72nd minute of play forced KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Teo De Jonge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Eddy Laporte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teo De Jonge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Eron, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Henry Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Laporte in the 76th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ferdinand Weijnants kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Henry Blom. That made the score 0-8 in the 82 minute of play. Reinaert Vischkens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry Blom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Michael Hjelm's late challenge caught a KFC Vliegplein's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Hjelm helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Michael Hjelm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Vliegplein's zone, Maximiliano Eron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teo De Jonge came out of the goal and Maximiliano Eron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matthy Algoedt hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
