The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mané Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Goyo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Mané Viana skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mané Viana made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Matias Goyo sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernan Tajo got free with Mané Viana in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the match, Eusébio Paraíba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dionisio Iyan. FC Ferrauda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusébio Paraíba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusébio Paraíba in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dionisio Iyan saved FC Ferrauda from getting behind. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Eusébio Paraíba sped through FC Ferrauda's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dionisio Iyan. Matias Goyo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the game, Eusébio Paraíba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Metropol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Ferrauda the free kick. A collision led to AC Metropol getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Eusébio Paraíba hit a great ball. FC Ferrauda's Ruperto Matei got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Ferrauda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luiz Eduardo Pinho was slow to take the kick. During this time AC Metropol's players had a chance to rest. After 35 minutes, Vinicio Vincent mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ferrauda and the AC Metropol players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Ferrauda's Vinicio Vincent got a free kick in the 35th minute. Dionisio Iyan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Paraíba in the 36th minute of the match. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Ferrauda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luiz Eduardo Pinho was slow to take the kick. During this time AC Metropol's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Paraíba in the 44th minute of play forced FC Ferrauda's goalkeeper Dionisio Iyan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute of the match FC Ferrauda got a corner. AC Metropol's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ruperto Matei ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FC Ferrauda's Matias Goyo to fire away a dangerous shot which Mané Viana despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Apolo Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, FC Ferrauda's goalkeeper Dionisio Iyan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusébio Paraíba. Mané Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Goyo in the 55th minute of play. Matias Goyo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mané Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Goyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Viana having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Dionisio Iyan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Santos in the 73rd minute of play forced AC Metropol's goalkeeper Mané Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apolo Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Viana having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Matias Goyo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Ferrauda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 82nd minute Apolo Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, AC Metropol's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Matei came free, but Mané Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mané Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Goyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apolo Santos scored 2-2 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mané Viana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
