Leonard Lewkowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Marcio Carreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kacper Tobiáš having to interfere. Xano Menendez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Lewkowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 played minutes F.C. Sosnowiec got a freekick which was hit by Cesare De Vecchis. After having played for 22 minutes, Edin Džeko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Sosnowiec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edin Džeko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. F.C. Sosnowiec's Kacper Tobiáš played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Pujol in the 25th minute of play. In the 30th minute Edin Džeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xano Menendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teofil Skarpiak hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. A hard shot 34 in the game by Marcio Carreira from a close distance when the talented Kacper Tobiáš managed to make a qualified save. Sosnowiec's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Pujol came free, but Kacper Tobiáš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bran Anievas's late challenge caught a FCSB CUENCA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bran Anievas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute, Edin Džeko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Leonard Lewkowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in FCSB CUENCA's zone, Edin Džeko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xano Menendez came out of the goal and Edin Džeko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Marcio Carreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 89 played minutes FCSB CUENCA got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Navarro. When Mei Qing Yang fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FCSB CUENCA's protests and gave Mei Qing Yang a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, Mei Qing Yang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xano Menendez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edin Džeko in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th match minute, F.C. Sosnowiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofil Skarpiak to maneuver through the defense. After 94 played minutes, FCSB CUENCA's Isaac Santalla shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kacper Tobiáš came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FCSB CUENCA reached it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. F.C. Sosnowiec walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
