Abel Van Clijnebreugel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Esteves having to interfere. Dalmo Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Van Clijnebreugel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7thth minute of the game Abel Van Clijnebreugel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tamboril's Dalmo Esteves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dalmo Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Van Clijnebreugel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Fauna Utd's Abel Van Clijnebreugel to fire away a dangerous shot which Dalmo Esteves despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Van Clijnebreugel in the 16th minute of play forced Tamboril's goalkeeper Dalmo Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Tamboril's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Van Clijnebreugel came free, but Dalmo Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vincent Dekeyser made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Valdomiro Garcia sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Fauna Utd booed when Tamboril was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quinton De Buyser in the 26th minute of play forced Tamboril's goalkeeper Dalmo Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Abel Van Clijnebreugel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Abel Van Clijnebreugel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narciso Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Dekeyser having to interfere. After 41 minutes Tamboril's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abel Van Clijnebreugel who took care of the corner kick. After 43 played minutes Tamboril got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Duarte. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abel Van Clijnebreugel made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Van Clijnebreugel in the 51st minute of play forced Tamboril's goalkeeper Dalmo Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tamboril's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fauna Utd the free kick. The supporters of Fauna Utd booed when Tamboril was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diamantino de Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diamantino de Barros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Tamboril getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Diamantino de Barros hit a great ball. Tamboril's Dalmo Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Van Clijnebreugel in the 57th minute of play. Quinton De Buyser could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Dalmo Esteves made a huge save. After having played for 66 minutes, Abel Van Clijnebreugel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fauna Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Van Clijnebreugel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tamboril made a substitution. Frederico Leme replaced José Vítor Lara. Dalmo Esteves made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Abel Van Clijnebreugel sent off a good shot on target. 74 minutes into the match, Frederico Leme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vincent Dekeyser. Fauna Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frederico Leme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 76 minutes into the game, Abel Van Clijnebreugel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dalmo Esteves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Abel Van Clijnebreugel sped through Tamboril's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dalmo Esteves. Dalmo Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Van Clijnebreugel in the 85th minute of the match. Dalmo Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Van Clijnebreugel, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute Fauna Utd were awarded a corner. Abel Van Clijnebreugel went to the cornerflag to take it. When Abel Van Clijnebreugel came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Fauna Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Van Clijnebreugel couldn't finish the play. Dalmo Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Van Clijnebreugel in the 91st minute. After 94 played minutes Fauna Utd got a freekick which was hit by Arnout Roockeloes. The Tamboril supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fauna Utd's performance. The match ended with a win for Fauna Utd.
