Ivan Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Erik Tunberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roy Johnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Maurício Pimentel scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Markus Fågel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Minho FC booed when Polly Magoo Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omero Zubiaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Erik Tunberg to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Polly Magoo Juniors were awarded a corner. Roy Johnsson went to the cornerflag to take it. Saúl Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Aquilino Zarco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Fågel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alf Bredberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Minho FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
