Nechifor Curuțiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Figo in the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Gothic Souls's Luis Figo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nechifor Curuțiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nechifor Curuțiu made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Luis Figo sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Gothic Souls getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Xabi Alonso hit a great ball. Gothic Souls's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tugay Kerimoglu in the 20th minute. The corner led Gothic Souls's Luis Figo to a score. 2-0 in the 20th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Figo in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nechifor Curuțiu saved Rasnita from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iustinian Pistol in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Menderes Hikmet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gothic Souls's Aydın Secaat managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gelu Filip in the 38 minute of the game. After 39 minutes, Iosif Doicaru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rasnita and the Gothic Souls players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rasnita's Iosif Doicaru got a free kick in the 39th minute. Luis Figo might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nechifor Curuțiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Figo ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iustinian Pistol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Luis Figo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Curuțiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gothic Souls were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Rasnita's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line.
