In the 18th minute, Albert Diacono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Algot Månsson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Amadeo Rapinett to make any attempt to save it. In the 33rd minute, Andrea Xuereb made a precise shot to the right of Roger Ekberg. AC United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Clint Cohen kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. AC United's Roger Ekberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Diacono in the 40th minute of play. 1-2 became the score in the 41st minute when Lawrence De Marco elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After the first half Attard Gunners were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Algot Månsson was the one to do the kick off. Amadeo Rapinett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gottfrid Larsson in the 51st minute of the match. A collision led to AC United getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Fredrik Gustafsson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in AC United's zone, Lawrence De Marco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Ekberg came out of the goal and Lawrence De Marco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filip Holmgren hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lawrence De Marco in the 61st minute of play forced AC United's goalkeeper Roger Ekberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lawrence De Marco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Roger Ekberg made a huge save. In the 69th minute Clint Cohen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Ekberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to AC United getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Filip Holmgren hit a great ball. Andrea Xuereb in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roger Ekberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Einar Lenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Roger Ekberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jake Debono in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Attard Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Gottfrid Larsson came free, but Amadeo Rapinett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Amadeo Rapinett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Attard Gunners's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Oskar Kilstedt was slow to take the kick. During this time AC United's players had a chance to rest. AC United's Harry Löfdahl was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amadeo Rapinett in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 91 played minutes Attard Gunners got a freekick which was hit by Albert Diacono. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Attard Gunners walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
