Yane Stranski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clint Cohen went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Prokopi Zerinov took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amadeo Rapinett. Amadeo Rapinett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 10 minutes into the match, Andrea Xuereb notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of VN BAKITO's Yane Stranski. Yane Stranski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Prokopi Zerinov fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VN BAKITO's protests and gave Prokopi Zerinov a yellow card for diving instead. Prokopi Zerinov kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Attard Gunners's Fabio Vassallo got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Prokopi Zerinov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Rapinett having to interfere. Amadeo Rapinett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milan Karaleev in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrea Xuereb in the 23rd minute of play forced VN BAKITO's goalkeeper Yane Stranski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrea Xuereb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yane Stranski came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Attard Gunners's Andrea Xuereb. But to his dismay, Andrea Xuereb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Milan Karaleev took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amadeo Rapinett. Amadeo Rapinett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. When VN BAKITO's Stanyo Blagiev in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Attard Gunners's goalie prevented a goal. Amadeo Rapinett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prokopi Zerinov, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Stoyadin Axentiev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeo Rapinett having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lawrence De Marco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to VN BAKITO getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Prokopi Zerinov hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the game, Andrea Xuereb cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Yane Stranski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stanyo Blagiev might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeo Rapinett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stanyo Blagiev ran back to his position shaking his head. Stoyadin Axentiev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Rapinett having to interfere. Amadeo Rapinett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stoyadin Axentiev in the 68th minute of play. Yane Stranski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrea Xuereb in the 73rd minute. Albert Diacono came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Yane Stranski could save by the left post. Yane Stranski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Diacono, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Albert Diacono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Attard Gunners's Lawrence De Marco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yane Stranski. That made the score 2-5 after 80 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrea Xuereb got free with Yane Stranski in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Lawrence De Marco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yane Stranski. That made the score 2-6 in the 89 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milan Karaleev in the 92nd minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Amadeo Rapinett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Attard Gunners's Fabio Vassallo got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Fabio Vassallo off the ground. In the 93rd match minute, Attard Gunners was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Vassallo to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute of the match Stoyadin Axentiev sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amadeo Rapinett skillfully saved the ball. The Attard Gunners players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
