Crni Tigrovi's Walery Kluczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orvar Stenquist in the 39th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Hermanö Oilers's goal looked a bit too open when Roko Radmanović came free, but Sonny Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Egon Zambata made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Radoslav Pintar put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sonny Åkesson. Ingemar Stålman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Walery Kluczyk when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Renato Kanjera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crni Tigrovi's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Kanjera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sonny Åkesson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan-Erik Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. With his leg Walery Kluczyk managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Hermanö Oilers's Ingemar Stålman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Radoslav Pintar hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingemar Stålman in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walery Kluczyk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Crni Tigrovi's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
