Ingemar Stålman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingemar Stålman in the 13th minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Amadeo Rapinett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeo Rapinett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Mattsson in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the Attard Gunners defense, Anton Mattsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo Rapinett. The Attard Gunners fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Rapinett should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Anton Mattsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hermanö Oilers's supporters rose to their feet, but Anton Mattsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeo Rapinett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute, Attard Gunners's Lawrence De Marco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sonny Åkesson. Sonny Åkesson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The supporters of Attard Gunners booed when Hermanö Oilers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Arenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hermanö Oilers's Sonny Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lawrence De Marco in the 34th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Andrea Xuereb kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sonny Åkesson. That made the score 2-1 in the 36 minute of play. Sonny Åkesson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrea Xuereb in the 39th minute. Anton Mattsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sonny Åkesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lawrence De Marco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jake Debono hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Arman Utfal was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Hermanö Oilers booed when Attard Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jake Debono didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ingemar Stålman to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Lawrence De Marco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Åkesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute Ingemar Stålman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Rapinett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingemar Stålman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Rapinett having to interfere. Hermanö Oilers's Sonny Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Xuereb in the 57th minute of play. After 62 minutes, Lawrence De Marco made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Hermanö Oilers's Sonny Åkesson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 67th match minute, Hermanö Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingemar Stålman to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Hermanö Oilers's Anton Mattsson got a free kick in the 68th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Hermanö Oilers's goal looked a bit too open when Andrea Xuereb came free, but Sonny Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrik Holmberg kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Ingemar Stålman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Hermanö Oilers getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Orvar Stenquist hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Hermanö Oilers's Anton Mattsson got a free kick in the 76th minute. When Hermanö Oilers's Anton Mattsson in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Attard Gunners getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Jake Debono hit a great ball. In the 94th match minute, Hermanö Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Mattsson to maneuver through the defense. Ronny Blom lost his temper 97 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hermanö Oilers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Attard Gunners a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Andrea Xuereb, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hermanö Oilers's Sonny Åkesson. 4-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Attard Gunners had played much better football throughout.
