After 9 minutes Olympique Fribourg's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Celestino Barbosa who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Ricardo Rodas managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angel Lico in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tristan Arioli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Barbosa in the 32nd minute of play forced Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Tristan Arioli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Steiner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Leopoldo Txema tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Txema took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raik Topuz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute Olympique Fribourg were awarded a corner. Daniel Schroeder went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 46th minute, Astor Lleir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Florian Plouffe made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of the xeneise dream team booed when Olympique Fribourg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gene Emmenegger didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to the xeneise dream team getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Angel Lico hit a great ball. the xeneise dream team's Leopoldo Txema proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save the xeneise dream team from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute, Angel Lico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Celestino Barbosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tristan Arioli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Lleir in the 77th minute of play forced Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Tristan Arioli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Txema made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Florian Plouffe sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute, Bruno Steiner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Lleir came free, but Tristan Arioli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tristan Arioli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Lico, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. If Raik Topuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 played minutes Olympique Fribourg got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Schroeder.
