The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 9 minutes, Murilo de Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ and the Socavon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Murilo de Souza hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Toni Schumacher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís de Souza in the 15th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Nando de Queiroz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goalkeeper Oswaldo Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Murilo de Souza was shown his second yellow card after 33 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. If José Pedro Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferran Rial hit a great ball.

In the 58th match minute, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Socavon FC's Gartxot Estopinal was substituted for Franko Tio. Luiz Nascimento hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Toni Schumacher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Pedro Loureiro's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Toni Schumacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the match, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomiro Contero came free, but Oswaldo Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Socavon FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
