With his leg Silas Britto managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Masters United F.C.'s Matias Quintun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbson Negri in the 23rd minute of play forced Masters United F.C.'s goalkeeper Delmar Mel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmar Mel came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Landulfos FC's Umberto do Valle. The audience was convinced that Umberto do Valle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delmar Mel was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Claudio Cordaro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Masters United F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Claudio Cordaro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Masters United F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Landulfos FC:s goal. Delmar Mel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar de Alcântara in the 60th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Róbson Negri got free with Delmar Mel in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Masters United F.C. booed when Landulfos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Masters United F.C.'s goalkeeper Delmar Mel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Umberto do Valle. Umberto do Valles short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Delmar Mel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Umberto do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
