The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Mestre GG's Francisco do Vale got control of the ball when Mattias Svahn tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 43 played minutes FC Kurdistan got a freekick which was hit by Jordan Peterson. Andreas Palička showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 孟鹰泉, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Morgan Åkesson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco do Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Mestre GG's Francisco do Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to save Mestre GG from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 孟鹰泉 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57thth minute of the game Morgan Åkesson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mestre GG's Francisco do Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 59 minutes Mestre GG's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Claes Andreasson who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Claes Andreasson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Francisco do Vale quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 63 minutes into the game, 孟鹰泉 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mestre GG's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kurdistan the free kick. 孟鹰泉 kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. FC Kurdistan's Jari Litmanen was substituted for Morgan Åkesson. 65 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Lundström came free, but Francisco do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Martinsson scored 1-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Benjamim Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mestre GG's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamim Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Palička breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alex Martinsson took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francisco do Vale. Francisco do Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 孟鹰泉's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andreas Palička read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Francisco do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Lundström in the 79th minute of the match. Oswaldo Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Mestre GG's Horácio Netto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andreas Palička. Andreas Palička yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Matías Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Francisco do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jari Litmanen in the 90th minute of play. There was no doubt that FC Kurdistan were the better team. FC Kurdistan's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
